OUR ROOTS
Around here our love for Suisun Valley runs deep, as do our family roots. Mankas Corner has served as a tavern and meeting place for travelers and locals since the early 1800’s. We are blessed to be able to continue that tradition at The Filling Station.
Owner Wendy De Coito invites locals and visitors alike to experience the region through local, hand-crafted wine, beer, and more in a friendly, hometown environment. As a fifth-generation native of the Fairfield-Suisun area, owner Wendy is passionate about this valley.
Our mission
Our mission at The Filling Station is to showcase the smaller, artisan winemakers and grape growers that live right here in our own backyard. Most of who do not have public tasting rooms, yet are making some of the valley’s and even California’s best wine. In most cases, The Filling Station may be the only place that some of these varietals are even available. So it is a win-win for the winemakers and the wine drinkers! As for craft beer, The Filling Station has partnered with several local breweries alternating the beer on tap often. In addition, The Filling Station is also a perfect place to find a variety of local farm items such as jams, jellys, olive oil, and of course, Suisun Valley souvenirs.
Those of us that live here know what an extraordinary place this is, and we are excited to be able share it with the rest of the world.
